About Faire
Faire is a technology wholesale platform built on the belief that the future is local. Independent retailers around the globe collectively represent a multi-hundred-billion-dollar wholesale market that has historically been fragmented and offline. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so businesses can grow and local communities can thrive.
We’re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.
About this role
You’ll own making sure all brands can succeed on Faire, whether they are just starting out or driving millions a year. Faire has a robust suite of programs and tools that help brands grow, and when brands take our guidance, they grow measurably faster - driving top actions is worth an estimated 15-30% increase in brand lifetime value. The catch is that today, most guidance comes from calls with account managers, and brands have no reliable way to discover or act on it themselves: our notifications, nudges, and emails deliver disjointed advice, don’t give sufficient context, and aren’t personalized to what matters most for a given brand’s shop setup and goals.
Your job is to build a system that can score a brand’s shop, measure the value of potential actions, identify the top opportunities, and communicate those to our brands at the right time and in a compelling way. You’ll work closely with the pods that built the programs to deeply understand the mechanics and the adoption blockers, and with our Success, Product Marketing, and Sales teams to deliver an omnichannel strategy for driving adoption.
If you love figuring out what makes users successful, building systems that change behavior, working across product and GTM teams, and you get excited about creating real, measurable value for small business owners, this is the role for you.
What you'll do
- Set the strategy for brand success. Deeply understand which behaviors make brands successful on Faire, what blocks brands from adopting them, and where guidance should come from product versus a person.
- Own the brand success roadmap end-to-end. Define strategy and sequencing across rebuilding key systems, shipping contextual nudges, and deep-diving into top actions.
- Go deep on the highest-value actions. Understand blockers, build education and reasons to believe, determine contextual moments to target, and make each action as close to one click as possible, starting with what new brands need in their first 30 days.
- Build the targeting and triggering system. Estimate the LTV impact of each action, rank each brand's personalized top opportunities, and fire on the behavioral moments when a brand is most likely to act.
- Own the growth hub and rationalize our nudge systems. Give brands a single place to see what is limiting their growth and their top actions, and consolidate today's banners, emails and in-portal prompts into one prioritized system that other pods contribute to.
- Partner with GTM. Work with Success, Marketing, and Sales to learn what works in the human-led motion, bring it into product, and ensure our account managers and the self-serve system complement each other. Define a long-term OS between the teams, and drive alignment on the type of actions that belong in-product vs. should remain human-led.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- You have 8+ years of experience in product at a high-growth tech startup, as a startup founder, or in a top tech company.
- You have set direction in an ambiguous space, not just executed a roadmap you inherited. You can decide what's worth working on and explain why.
- You are good at deeply understanding customer needs and underlying motivations, especially in spaces where customers aren't great at predicting how changes will impact their behavior.
