### Security Officer – York

Location: York

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off Rotation

We are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team at a reception-based security site in York.

This is a varied role requiring a strong customer service approach, good communication skills and the ability to remain vigilant and professional at all times.

### Shift Pattern

The position operates on a 4 on / 4 off rotational shift pattern, covering both days and nights:

Day Shifts: 05:30 – 17:30

Night Shifts: 17:30 – 05:30

### Key Responsibilities

Providing a professional and welcoming reception security presence.

Monitoring CCTV systems and responding appropriately to incidents.

Carrying out regular security patrols of the premises.

Completing essential locking and unlocking duties.

Maintaining the security and safety of the building.

Monitoring access and ensuring only authorised persons enter the premises.

Reporting incidents, hazards and suspicious activity.

Completing accurate daily occurrence books and handover reports.

Delivering excellent customer service to staff, visitors and contractors.

### What We Are Looking For

A professional, reliable and responsible approach.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Strong observation and attention to detail.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work both day and night shifts.

Previous security experience is desirable.

A valid SIA Security Licence is essential.
