Build parts that end up in space

Do you want to be working on the frontline of composites engineering? Working with high-tech materials for a range of aerospace applications? Somewhere in the sky above us, satellites, planes or drones are flying over Earth consisting of parts that were made by hand, at our production facility in the Hague.

That's what you'll be doing at Airborne: building high-end composite parts for the aerospace industry.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist. If you have experience in manufacturing, you like working with your hands and you get a kick out of doing things exactly right, we'll teach you the rest.

What you'll do

After a thorough training period, you'll make products from fiber-reinforced plastics, super-strong materials used in aircraft and spacecraft. This includes:

Producing composite parts according to planning

Building molds and other tooling

Checking and guaranteeing the quality of your own work

Working according to strict aerospace procedures (in this industry, "close enough" doesn't exist)

Keeping the workplace safe, healthy and clean

Spot inefficiencies in the production process and discuss them with Team leaders

You report to one of the Team Leaders or Foremen in Production and work closely with your colleagues on the floor. In addition, you’ll be working with Quality and Engineering department, so you'll see how a part goes from drawing to finished product.
