## Description (the employer's text)

As Senior Solution Engineer for Product Compliance & Digital Product Passport, you are the technical heart of our enterprise sales motion for this solution domain. You sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our Account Executives in front of Heads of Product Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Sustainability/ESG and R&D/Engineering leaders — translating intricate EU product-compliance and digital-product-passport requirements into a clear vision of how the osapiens HUB will work in the customer’s specific landscape.

You own the technical narrative through discovery, demo, RFP, security review and proof-of-concept — and you carry that knowledge back into Product so the platform stays sharp.

### Responsibilities

What You will Do

- Be the Solution Engineering owner for Product Compliance & DPP topics with prospects across DACH and EU. Accountable from tailoring platform deep dive until the prospect is convinced and has decided in favor of osapiens. You translate companies’ product-compliance and digital-product-passport challenges — EU regulation such as DPP, EPR, PPWR and ESPR — into concrete solution scope.
- Design and deliver tailored demonstrations across the osapiens HUB and its modules, showcasing platform value.
- Own end-to-end proofs-of-concept anchored with your prospects value drivers, convincing executive sponsors.
- Architect customer integrations with SAP, Microsoft, ServiceNow, data warehouses, identity providers and procurement systems; advise on data flows, security and scalability.
- Be the trusted owner of functional RFPs, RFIs, and IT-Integration topics.
- Partner closely with Account Executives on deal strategy, multi-threading and stakeholder mapping; coach AEs on technical and value proposition talk-tracks.
- Feed structured industry insights back to Product - what we win with and why we lose, which competitors outposition us and how, what we need next on the roadmap to convince.
- Mentor more junior SEs, contribute to enablement content and battle-cards, and help us scale the SE function as we grow.
### Skills

We’re intentionally looking for people who have seen and thrived in fast-moving environments:

- 4+ years experience in solution engineering, presales, technical consulting or sales engineering for B2B enterprise SaaS.
- Deep working knowledge of product compliance regulation — Digital Product Passport (DPP), Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
- Demonstrated ownership of complex enterprise deals end-to-end, including POCs and security reviews; comfortable with deal sizes north of €250K ACV.
- Strong technical fluency: REST APIs and JSON, identity (SSO / SAML / OIDC), cloud architecture (AWS or Azure), enterprise integration patterns and basic data modeling.
- Sharp business acumen: comfortable mapping a regulatory or operational pain to ROI, TCO and a deployment roadmap a CFO will sign off on.
- AI is part of how you already operate: you routinely use Ai to compress research, demo prep and RFP work, and you have a clear point of view on how to build the best AI-driven version of your role.
- Proactive, structured, calm under pressure — equally comfortable in front of a board and in a Postman session.
- Outstanding communication in both German and English.
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Mannheim or Munich, with willingness to travel ~25 %.
### Bonus Points

- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Coupa or ServiceNow.
- Existing relationships with local SI partners, Big Four advisory practices or industry associations in ESG and compliance.
- Exposure to AI / LLM workflows in enterprise SaaS.
- A third European language beyond your country’s primary language and English.
### Benefits

- Be part of a fast-growing scale-up tackling complex sustainability challenges
- Shape how presales is done — not just execute it
- High ownership, high impact, and real room to improve how things work
- Collaborative, international team with strong growth ambition
- Room for creativity through collaborative teamwork and an open communication culture
- Flexibility and team bonding with our hybrid work options
- Sustainable mobility options, promoting eco-friendly commuting solutions
- Fun team events and outings with our global teams
- An inspiring working environment.
