Job details
This role is central to the day-to-day success of the business and contributes directly to operational performance and customer outcomes. As Admin Support, you will be responsible for assisting the senior members of the arboricultural team with a variety of admin-based tasks. This will involve helping us manage incoming enquiries, triaging emails, helping with project allocation, speaking with existing clients and gathering the information needed to progress their projects.
You will work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure that clients receive a prompt, professional and helpful service. Although the role will primarily support our arboricultural team, you may also assist other departments with activities such as project bookings, allocations and general administration where there is a demand.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making a tangible impact.
What you will do
- Triage emails within our senior consultant teams’ inbox to help with work-flow and maintain prompt communication with clients. This may involve providing project updates, assisting with booking in surveys, requesting further information, and helping with new enquiries.
- Assisting Team Leaders with survey allocation and scheduling logistics amongst the arboricultural team.
- Gather and accurately record information received from the client, both with existing projects and new enquiries, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information within our internal systems
- Support the arboricultural team in scheduling and progressing projects and completing agreed follow-up actions
- Manage multiple administrative tasks while meeting required deadlines
- Support the wider team when required and during busy periods
- Provide supplementary assistance proof reading reports (from a non-technical perspective)
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders
Who you are
No previous experience in arboriculture or administration is required, as full training will be provided. We are looking for a motivated and reliable person who brings a practical, positive and solutions-focused mindset.
You will ideally have:
- Excellent spoken and written English skills, with strong telephone communication skills and confidence speaking with clients
- A professional, friendly and helpful approach to client service
- Strong organisational, time-management and deadline-management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
- The ability and willingness to learn new systems, processes and information, together with a proactive approach and the confidence to ask questions when required
- The ability to work well as part of a team, build strong relationships across different departments and maintain a collaborative approach and commitment to doing things the right way
