12-month Fixed Term Contract \| Maternity Cover

Horsham, West Sussex

We’re looking for a Platform Controls Associate to join Benchmark on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover within our Platform Controls team.

You’ll support a range of controls and operational processes across our platform business, helping to maintain accurate data, identify control issues and support good outcomes for our clients.

This role would suit someone who is organised, analytical and comfortable working with detailed information. You may already have experience within financial services, or you may be looking for an opportunity to develop your knowledge of platforms and the wider financial services industry.

### Responsibilities

- Complete a range of processes and activities across the Platform Controls function.
- Review data and information for accuracy, identifying discrepancies or potential control issues.
- Identify control failures and support corrective actions to help activities complete accurately and on time.
- Follow established processes and procedures to support good client outcomes.
- Investigate queries, source information and use logical thinking to find appropriate solutions.
- Develop a good understanding of financial services platforms and how they operate.
- Build knowledge across multiple processes so you can provide support across different areas of the business.
- Support the oversight of client-facing literature, working with Marketing and Operational teams where required.
- Contribute to team meetings, sharing feedback, ideas and opportunities to improve processes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business.
### Skills

- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to organise and prioritise your workload.
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge.
- A logical approach to investigating issues and finding solutions.
- The confidence to ask questions and suggest improvements.
- The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English Language, and 2 A Levels or equivalent.
It would also be helpful if you have:

- Previous experience within financial services.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience writing technical documentation or documenting processes.
- An understanding of financial services platforms or investment administration.
