The Role's Purpose

As our presence across the North West National Security landscape continues to grow, we're looking for a commercially-minded Strategic Account Lead to strengthen and expand our relationships across the sector. This is not a traditional sales role.

We're looking for someone who already understands the National Security, Defence or wider secure government environment and has built credibility through trusted relationships. Someone who enjoys being client-facing, spotting opportunities, connecting organisations and shaping long-term strategic partnerships rather than simply responding to opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Building and growing strategic relationships across National Security and adjacent secure-government organisations
  • Expanding existing accounts and winning new business opportunities
  • Acting as a senior ambassador for Plexal across the North West ecosystem
  • Creating partnerships across government, industry, academia and innovation organisations
  • Shaping propositions around emerging technology, innovation and capability development
  • Driving sustainable revenue growth and long-term client engagement programmes
  • SC Security Clearance or eligible to undertake Security Clearance
  • A track record in relationship-based sales, account leadership or business development
  • Experience working within National Security, Defence, Policing or secure government environments
  • Strong understanding of government procurement and technology adoption
  • The credibility to engage senior stakeholders and build trusted partnerships that deliver commercial results
