Launched in 2011, we brought a B2C-like experience to the B2B industry, and continue to be at the forefront of digital innovation at the intersection of technology and distribution. We have rapidly grown to over $1 billion in annual revenue and we’re just getting started!

About the Role

At Zoro, our competitive advantage is how we help customers discover what they need—and what they didn’t know they needed.

As the Sr. Manager of Site Experience Strategy & Discoverability, you will lead a team responsible for defining and scaling the merchandising capabilities that power product discovery across the site. You will own the Digital Merchandising roadmaps for discovery (homepage, Collections), search, navigation, filtering, product relationships, and personalization—identifying the customer and business opportunities that matter most and defining the merchandising capabilities needed to address them.

This is a highly strategic leadership role focused on identifying the frameworks and capabilities that elevate the customer journey. You will partner closely with Product and Marketing teams to vet, sequence, and integrate Digital Merchandising priorities into roadmaps. While your team defines the customer problems, strategic priorities, and merchandising use cases, you will work with Product and other partners to determine the right solutions, technical approach, and delivery plans.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the strategic direction for the Digital Merchandising Site Experience Strategy & Discoverability team, spanning search, navigation, filtering, product relationships, personalization, homepage, and other sitewide merchandising experiences.
  • Own the Digital Merchandising roadmap across these focus areas, prioritizing the highest-impact customer and business opportunities and balancing near-term improvements with foundational capabilities.
  • Build alignment with Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional leaders to vet, sequence, and integrate Digital Merchandising priorities into shared roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Ensure Digital Merchandising is engaged early in Product discovery—clearly defining customer problems, desired outcomes, and merchandising use cases before solutions are scoped.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the team members who own the day-to-day strategy, analysis, and execution within their respective focus areas.
  • Establish and maintain scalable frameworks, standards, and defaults that improve how customers search, navigate, evaluate, and discover products across the site.
  • Use customer insight, performance data, and experimentation to refine priorities, measure impact, and continuously improve the experience.
  • Partner with Digital Merchandising Category Experience Strategy, Data Science, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to connect merchandising strategy to broader customer and business priorities.

What You Bring

  • 7–10+ years of experience in ecommerce strategy, digital merchandising, product strategy, or related roles
  • Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong experience designing and scaling sitewide customer experiences and supporting processes
  • Experience developing strategic roadmaps and prioritizing complex work across customer, business, and technical needs.
  • Deep understanding of search, navigation, filtering, product relationships, and personalization in ecommerce
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence cross-functional teams, including shaping problem statements, use cases, requirements, and roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on measurable business impact
  • Experience in B2B or large-catalog ecommerce environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in ecommerce (search, recommendations, personalization)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
