Navan (Nasdaq: NAVN) is the leading all-in-one business travel, payments, and expense management platform. Our mission is to make travel easy for every frequent traveler by delivering an intuitive experience that travelers love and finance teams rely on. From AI-driven search to automated expense reconciliation, we help our customers focus on the human connections that drive their success. Our team is our competitive edge—a high-performance group of smart, driven people committed to winning together. At Navan, we provide an environment where top talent excels, offering the autonomy and fast-paced trajectory needed to build a defining career.

Role Overview Navan is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Strategic Finance team, serving as the strategic right-hand finance business partner to the CEO/CEO of the Growth Business. Based in Israel and reporting to US-based leadership, this is a highly autonomous, individual contributor role focused on building the business's financial foundation from the ground up.

To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable "living in the grey." We are looking for an independent operator who thrives in an ever-changing, ambiguous environment and does not require a fully built playbook or heavy coaching to execute. You must be comfortable not always having the answers immediately, pivoting priorities on a dime, and making confident decisions autonomously. You will not just be reporting numbers; you are expected to form strong opinions, link financial stories with KPIs, and actively drive outcomes to guide executive growth decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as the definitive finance voice embedded within the business. Provide highly autonomous, opinionated strategic partnership to executive leaders across the Navan Growth Organization.
  • Financial Forecasting: Lead end-to-end forecasting cycles (quarterly, annual, and multi-year) for Navan Growth across revenue, COGS, gross margin, and OpEx to illuminate emerging financial trends and drive operational efficiency.

Business Insights & Decision Making: Act as a subject matter expert on Growth economics. Bring strong, data-backed opinions to the table to build business cases and assess strategic decisions relating to company growth and profitability initiatives.

  • Building for Scale: Operate comfortably in an unstructured environment by building financial models from scratch, defining success metrics, and partnering with Product, Marketing, and Revenue teams from ideation through scale.
  • Data Analysis & KPI Reporting: Investigate financial discrepancies, identify root causes, and deliver clear, actionable KPI reporting to stakeholders that highlights key trends and recommendations and make do from limited data points.
  • Process Automation: Evolve and automate financial models and reporting frameworks to support the business, enhance forecasting precision, and eliminate manual bottlenecks.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 7+ years of demonstrated experience in a finance-related role. A background in investment banking is highly preferred, alongside finance/operations experience within a top-tier technology company.
  • Extreme Autonomy & Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You do not wait for instructions; you proactively identify problems, propose solutions, and drive processes forward. You are entirely comfortable managing shifting priorities with a strong bias for action.
  • Remote Collaboration: Proven success working highly independently with remote/international leadership, requiring minimal daily oversight to produce high-impact results.
  • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, strong financial modeling skills, and experience with SQL. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strategic Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You possess a proven ability to convey insights through data storytelling, formulate strong opinions, and influence executive decision-making.
