Director, India Corporate Operations
Scopely is looking for a Director, India Corporate Operations to join our team in Bangalore!
At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, operationally excellent leader to build and lead the Corporate Operations function for Scopely India.
This leadership role is central to maintaining and evolving the cultural foundation of the company, shaping our presence and perception in India, and ensuring operational excellence in collaboration with its local and global counterparts. You will own culture and employee experience for Scopely India, and serve as the organizational integrator across the game teams and functions represented in the Bangalore studio. You will partner across Scopely’s global People, Legal, Finance, IT, Workplace, and Communications teams while bringing India-specific needs and values to the table to localize global initiatives and ensure smooth execution across the business. You will work cross-functionally to ensure that Scopely operates compliantly in India and is represented at the highest standard in the market, while building Scopely’s reputation as a premier destination for the industry’s top game-making talent.
This is a critical executive role that not only ensures operational excellence, but also strengthens employee engagement, cultural evolution, and organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate will balance global alignment with local needs, ensuring that the Bangalore team continues to thrive with its unique culture while meeting international standards and goals.
What you’ll do
Culture & Employee Experience
- Own and evolve Scopely India’s culture, in co-stewardship with local product and functional leaders
- Design and run programs that build connection, belonging, and engagement across teams and disciplines (e.g., Product, Engineering, Design, Art)
- Design, convene, and execute internal community-building forums — all-hands meetings, celebration moments, knowledge-sharing and innovation events, hackathons, mentorship, etc. — as instruments of culture
- Partner with People and Talent Acquisition to improve the employee experience from onboarding through career growth
- Measure organizational health through annual employee engagement data and drive action on what it shows
- Represent India workplace needs — space, build-out, lease, and service matters — in global planning
Organizational Effectiveness & Leadership Alignment
- Serve as the organizational integrator for India: surface cross-studio issues, drive them to resolution, and improve how information and context flow across teams and functions
- Convene and drive alignment and action on cross-cutting topics such as return-to-office adherence
- Ensure that all functional teams supporting India — People, IT, Finance, Legal, Workplace, Talent Acquisition, etc. — operate as one cohesive support system rather than disconnected verticals
- Partner with GMs and functional leaders as a neutral, objective advisor on organizational structure and ways of working
- Build systems, processes, and ownership models so the organization runs well at scale
People Leadership
- Serve as a senior local partner to global and local People teams with respect to India-specific employee policies and programs, ensuring India’s context is represented in global decisions
- Partner with game teams, functional teams, and People to promote talent development, internal mobility, and retention of key talent
- Act as a local escalation path for cultural and organizational concerns, handing employee relations matters for decision and resolution in partnership with our People and Employee Relations teams
- Partner with People and Finance teams employment compliance matters — labor practice, payroll process, and statutory employer obligations — ensuring India requirements are visible, current, and actioned; stewart, escalate and own labor compliance matters as appropriate
