### Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Acute Medical & Orthopaedic Wards

Location: Newport

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Full-time

Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team, working across acute medical and orthopaedic wards. This role involves providing specialist occupational therapy interventions to support patient recovery and facilitate safe, timely discharges.

### Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions for patients on acute medical and orthopaedic wards.
- Complete functional assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
- Support discharge planning and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
- Promote independence and optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
### Requirements

- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Proven experience in acute inpatient care, ideally across medical and orthopaedic specialties.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
