## Description (the employer's text)

MongoDB is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to be the FP&A owner of Pigment, our financial planning platform, in partnership with our Product Manager in IT. We recently migrated to Pigment from Workday’s Adaptive, and the next phase is making it great: scalable, well-governed, deeply integrated, and trusted by every planning stakeholder across the company. You'll sit at the intersection of Finance, IT, and the Business, translating how we plan into how the system works.

You're a builder who speaks finance fluently. You're comfortable building a multidimensional modeling engine in the morning and in a requirements discussion with a budget owner in the afternoon. You take projects from idea to production, communicate clearly, love working with a variety of stakeholders, and enjoy bringing structure to a fast-moving environment.

The working model for this role is flexible. We are open to fully remote or hybrid in-office/remote in our New York City or Austin offices.

### Responsibilities

- Pigment platform co-ownership: Co-own Pigment with a Product Manager in IT, serving as the primary point of contact for the Finance team. Together, you will manage role-based access and user provisioning
- Prioritization and roadmap development: Clarify, detail, and stack rank requested improvements and enhancements across stakeholders using clear criteria such as business impact, effort, and dependencies, and, with the IT Product Manager, turn the result into a transparent, time-phased Pigment roadmap. Revisit priorities regularly and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders and finance leadership
- Stakeholder enablement: Drive adoption of Pigment across Finance, Recruiting, HR, and and the broader business through training, documentation, office hours, and guidance on best practices. Build, gain alignment on, and implement the enablement plan from scratch
- Partnership with vendors and implementation partners: Manage the relationship with Pigment and any consulting partners, and stay current on platform releases and best practices
- Improve the foundation: Refine and re-architect the models built during our initial migration, reducing technical debt, simplifying logic, and improving performance and usability.Design, build, and maintain Pigment applications (blocks, metrics, lists, dimensions, and dependencies) for corporate forecasting, headcount and workforce planning, consolidation, and allocations. Translate requirements from FP&A and functional finance partners into scalable, well-documented models
- AI and automation: Evaluate and implement Pigment's AI and workflow capabilities, and identify other opportunities to automate manual FP&A processes, from lightweight connectivity (e.g., Google Sheets plug-ins) to larger workflow improvements
### What You'll Need

- Bachelor's degree; finance, business, economics, information systems, or a related field preferred. MBA a plus
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial systems, EPM, or finance transformation, with substantial hands-on model-building experience
- Hands-on experience building and administering models in Pigment
- Strong command of corporate finance concepts: forecasting, headcount and compensation planning, allocations, multi-currency consolidation
- Strong documentation habits: requirements, design specs, and process flows that others can pick up
- Ability to partner with executive finance stakeholders and technical teams alike, and to explain complex model logic simply
- Curiosity about new technologies and a desire to be an early adopter who can bring others along
- Extremely organized, with a natural bent toward making sense of mess
- Strong project management skills, with excellent follow-through across multiple concurrent priorities
- Expert in Excel and the Google Suite; working knowledge of SQL or scripting is a plus
### Nice to Have

- Experience integrating planning tools with source systems (ERP, HRIS, data warehouse), and comfort working with data pipelines and flat-file or API-based loads
- Pigment Academy certifications (Modeler, Power User, Admin) or Anaplan certifications
