About the Role

Mark43 is expanding its sales team and looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Regional Account Executive to own and grow our New Jersey and Downstate New York territory. The ideal candidate is passionate about bringing the next generation of public safety technology to law enforcement and government agencies and has a strong understanding of the transformative value of enterprise SaaS solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a territory strategy that drives new business across New Jersey and Downstate New York, including New York City, Long Island, and the surrounding metropolitan area. You'll partner closely with our Business Development team to identify opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and guide prospective customers through complex public sector sales cycles.

Successful Regional Account Executives at Mark43 are strategic thinkers, persistent relationship builders, and consultative sellers. You'll develop a deep understanding of the unique needs, procurement processes, and priorities of public safety agencies throughout your territory. You'll be a trusted advisor to prospective customers, helping them understand how modern, cloud-based technology can improve operations and enable first responders to better serve their communities.

What You'll Do

Grow the New Jersey and Downstate New York territory, developing and executing a strategic sales plan to build pipeline, win new customers, and drive revenue growth.

Build and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement leaders, public safety executives, government officials, and other key stakeholders across the territory.

Lead the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and discovery through product demonstrations, procurement, contract negotiations, and closing.

Develop a deep understanding of Mark43's value proposition, competitive landscape, and the unique operational challenges facing public safety agencies in New Jersey and Downstate New York.

Partner with Business Development, Marketing, Solutions Engineering, and other internal teams to identify opportunities and deliver compelling, tailored presentations of Mark43's solutions.

Navigate complex government procurement processes, including RFPs, budget cycles, and multi-stakeholder decision-making.

Build and expand a strong professional network through regular in-person meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and regional public safety events.

Maintain accurate pipeline management, sales forecasts, and account activity in Salesforce.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve territory performance, refine sales strategies, and accelerate growth.

What You'll Need

We're looking for an experienced public sector SaaS sales professional with 4–8 years of relevant sales experience and a proven ability to independently develop and manage a territory, build meaningful customer relationships, and close complex enterprise deals.

Demonstrated success selling enterprise SaaS solutions to state and local government agencies, ideally within public safety or law enforcement.

Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas, generating new business, and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.

Experience developing and executing territory-based sales strategies, including outbound prospecting, relationship building, and pipeline generation.

Strong understanding of government procurement processes, budget cycles, and competitive sales environments.
