About the Role
As a Front-End Software Engineer at LogicGate, you will build responsive, high-performing user experiences across Risk Cloud®, our market-leading AI GRC platform. Risk and compliance teams depend on our platform daily to turn complex data into actionable, automated workflows, making intuitive and resilient architecture essential to our product. Working in an agile squad alongside Product Managers, Designers, QA, and Back-end engineers, you will co-design API contracts, ship modular Angular components, and trace features end-to-end to ensure production reliability. This role is ideal for an engineer who wants to understand the full request lifecycle—from a click in the browser down through the service layer—and translate complex business challenges into seamless enterprise user experiences.
What You’ll Do
- End-to-End Feature Delivery: Design, build, and ship scalable features using TypeScript and Angular on the front end and interfacing with Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot on the back end.
- API & Contract Design: Build and evolve REST APIs with consuming front-end interfaces in mind, maintaining stable, versioned, and clearly documented contracts for cross-squad integration.
- Production Ownership: Own the health of released features by investigating customer-reported issues alongside Support and QA, translating findings into actionable fixes and enhanced monitoring.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, QA, and fellow engineers during Agile sprints, working primarily from our Chicago HQ to foster in-person collaboration, rapid iteration, and team trust.
- Accountability & Execution: Operate in a self-directed manner to estimate effort, deliver on sprint commitments, and proactively communicate blockers or updates in Jira and shared team channels.
- Code Comprehension & SDLC Discipline: Shepherd merge requests through the code review process efficiently, maintaining high standards for linting, test coverage, and documentation to prevent team bottlenecks.
- Systematic Debugging: Trace issues from the browser component tree through the API and data layers, utilizing tools like Datadog to independently investigate and resolve routine problems before escalating.
- Quality & Automation: Write robust unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using JUnit, Jasmine, and Cypress, ensuring low defect escape across both sides of the stack.
- AI-Augmented Engineering: Leverage AI coding assistants (like Claude Code) securely to accelerate scaffolding, testing, and debugging, while rigorously verifying output and protecting proprietary data.
