EBANX is one of the most successful fintechs to emerge from Latin America — and today, we are building a truly global payments company. Our mission has remained constant from day one: to unlock access and enable companies and consumers to participate in the digital economy, no matter where they are.

What started as a bold vision has grown into a platform that connects some of the world’s largest digital businesses with customers across 21 of the fastest-growing markets. We operate where complexity exists — turning local challenges into global opportunities, and building the infrastructure that allows payments to move further, faster, and smarter.

We are a team of builders and problem-solvers. We think globally, act with curiosity, and believe diversity of thought is a competitive advantage.

As EBANX enters its next phase of hyper growth, we are looking for people who want to shape the future of payments, expand what’s possible, and help connect businesses and consumers across borders.

Let’s build what’s next — together.

In the Operations team at EBANX, you don’t just oversee processes. You ensure that every step of our solution runs accurately, efficiently, and reliably, impacting millions of transactions worldwide. Here, operational excellence combines with innovation and collaboration to make our work truly Out Of The Ordinary.

As a Strategic Payments Operations Specialist, you will connect transactional data, commercial agreements, and payment ecosystem expertise to drive decisions that improve payment performance, processing costs, profitability, and customer experience. Working closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners, you will identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and lead initiatives from diagnosis to measurable business results.

What your day-to-day will look like

Analyze payment partner performance, identifying opportunities to improve approval rates, processing costs, availability, and operational efficiency;

Evaluate payment processing cost structures, including MDR, interchange, card scheme fees, acquirer markup, prepayment (anticipation), and additional services;

Develop profitability analyses, financial models, and business scenarios to support pricing strategies, commercial negotiations, volume allocation, and partner selection;

Manage relationships with acquirers, card schemes, banks, and other payment partners, leading technical and commercial discussions and ensuring agreed commitments are delivered;

Investigate discrepancies between contractual terms, partner charges, and transactional data, collaborating with internal teams to identify root causes and implement solutions;

Support payment routing and volume migration decisions, balancing approval rates, total processing costs, technical capabilities, and partners' operational capacity;

Monitor regulatory developments, card scheme rules, pricing changes, and market trends, translating them into business impacts and actionable recommendations;

Collaborate with Product, Technology, Performance, Finance, Treasury, Operations, Commercial, Legal, and Compliance to implement improvements across the payments ecosystem;

Prepare data-driven analyses and executive communications, clearly presenting findings, financial impacts, risks, and recommended actions;

Take ownership of cross-functional initiatives, managing priorities, dependencies, and stakeholders from initial diagnosis through implementation and validation of results.

What you need to shine in this role

At least 3 years of experience in the payments industry, including acquirers, PSPs, payment facilitators, card schemes, digital wallets, banks, or fintechs;

Solid understanding of the card payments ecosystem, including interchange, scheme fees, MDR, and the roles of acquirers, issuers, and card networks;

Strong analytical and financial skills, with experience working with large datasets, developing P&L and profitability analyses, and translating insights into actionable business recommendations;
