The Template Technician ensures precise measurements and clear documentation to support successful production and installation. ### Essential Functions - Create accurate templates in accordance with job specifications and department procedures - Perform field measurements at residential and/or commercial job sites - Utilize templating methods including laser templating systems and/or traditional (manual/stick) templating techniques - Load, transport, and maintain templating tools and materials required for daily assignments - Read and interpret architectural drawings, layouts, and technical documents - Communicate effectively with Order Control, Sales, fabrication teams, and customers regarding template details and scheduling - Ensure proper maintenance and care of templating equipment and tools - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - Perform additional duties as assigned ### Competencies / Skills / Abilities - Experience in countertop templating, installation, fabrication, or related field preferred - Experience with quartz, granite, or stone products strongly preferred - Familiarity with either laser templating equipment or traditional templating methods is acceptable - Ability to read and understand basic drawings and job specifications - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and customer-facing skills - Willingness to learn and be trained on company templating systems and processes ### Education and Experience - High school diploma or GED required - Prior industry experience preferred but not required; candidates with related construction, carpentry, or installation backgrounds encouraged to apply - Willing to train candidates with transferable skills and a strong work ethic ### Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities ### Work Environment This role operates in both field (job site) and manufacturing environments ### Physical Demands - Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and use hands and arms - Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently, occasionally up to 75 pounds - Must be able to perform physical tasks in job site and shop environments ### Position Type / Expected Hours of Work Full-time position; schedule may vary based on business needs BENEFITS Medical Dental Vision Employer Paid Basic Employee Life and AD&D Insurance Employer Paid Long Term Disability Flexible Spending Accounts Voluntary Short-Term Disability Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance Voluntary Accident Insurance Voluntary Critical Illness Insurance EEO At Construction Resources, our people are the driving force behind everything we do.
