About Our Presence in Singapore

Bridgewater has traded Asian markets and served clients in Asia for over three decades. We have strategic partnerships with some of the largest pools of capital in the region.

Bridgewater opened the Singapore office in 2022 to bring us closer to the region's markets, clients, and opportunities. Today, the office serves as a hub for Bridgewater's investment, client and operations teams in the region. Looking ahead, we see big opportunities for our presence in Singapore: to deepen our research and investment activities in Asia; to reinforce partnerships with long-standing clients; and to build new relationships with growing pools of capital throughout the region.

About Your Role

Bridgewater’s mission has always been to understand how the world works and translate that understanding into the best possible portfolios for our clients. Client Investment Research Directors play a vital role in that mission. From their unique position at the heart of Bridgewaters client-focused research activity, these individuals have an aerial view into our ever-evolving perspectives on world economies and markets, high-impact company-wide projects, and our investment philosophy and processes. They work closely with our Strategists, Client Advisors, and Bridgewater’s best & brightest investment minds, collaborate on how to handle different client-focused research or performance reporting projects, and execute on the approach by project managing, performing analyses and generating insights to help shape clients’ investment thinking or provide transparency into our performance and positions to meet clients reporting needs.

Bridgewater’s approach to client service requires our Client Investment Research Directors to continually expand their understanding and knowledge of the markets. Through formal training and informal on-the-job instruction, Client Investment Research Directors become well-versed in our macroeconomic investment research, portfolio construction approach, investment process & different strategies, our book of business, the investment approach of our largest, most sophisticated clients, and our production systems.

  • Strategize with Portfolio Strategists, Client Advisors, & other investment professionals and help develop the best approach to handle client requests and enable high-quality client engagements
  • Apply analytical skills, market knowledge, and an understanding of Bridgewater's investment methodology to create insights that help shape clients' investment thinking or deliver client-ready portfolio position and performance analytics, allowing our Client Advisors, Portfolio Strategists, and Chief Investment Officers to tell the Bridgewater investment story in a rich and accurate way
  • Manage and direct Client Service Research Analysts, overseeing day-to-day work & projects
  • Assist the in visualizing the overarching team’s goals (ex: aligning resources to different projects/strategies)
  • Oversee longer-term client projects and conduct deep analysis across entire portfolios

The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week at our Singapore office.
