At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most.

About the Product team

The Product team listens to our customers’ needs and translates those insights into a clear product vision. The team works closely with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products that empower people to manage their money with confidence. We rely on empathy, curiosity, and business sense to prioritize features and improve experiences. Our role is to lead with clarity, support cross-functional execution, and champion the user in every decision.

About the role

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest. Our Direct to Consumer Products, Surfaces, and Growth programs are a fast-growing product set that operates with the agility of a startup while leveraging the scale of an industry leader, delivering quality Consumer Experiences to our Consumers and Growth to the business alike.

You will be a pivotal strategic leader responsible for defining the next chapter of Affirm's Consumer & Card Growth programs. You will lead a portfolio of high-impact consumer journeys that directly influence conversion, engagement, and revenue. This is a role for a seasoned product leader obsessed with consumer experiences and quality, driving Consumer Product growth ie Cards, and disrupting the payments & credit landscape

What you'll do

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and socialize a long-term Growth and App vision and strategy, and translate that vision into clear roadmaps and decisions that teams can execute against
  • Portfolio Oversight: Manage and scale a portfolio of consumer-facing surfaces, and growth platforms, including Onboarding flows, App surfaces, and platforms like Segmentation & Targeting services, ensuring a simple and consistent experience across platforms
  • Lead and grow a high-performing PM team. Build, mentor, and manage a team of product managers, including people managers. You'll set the bar for craft, create development paths, and cultivate a culture of ownership, rigor, and candor.
  • Executive Communication: Proactively align senior leadership on strategy, execution risks, and mitigation plans, ensuring organizational clarity during complex initiatives
  • Drive cross-functional alignment at scale: Partner with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Revenue leaders to optimize the marketplace ecosystem, balancing merchant value with consumer experiences
  • Operational Excellence: Establish frameworks for rigorous experimentation and funnel analysis to drive measurable gains in completion rates and customer retention

What we look for

  • Experience: 10+ years of product management leadership, with a proven track record of shipping large-scale consumer products in fintech, e-commerce, or marketplace environments.
  • Strategic Clarity: Demonstrated ability to bring "clarity when things feel messy," turning ambiguous problems into crisp narratives and structured execution plans.
  • AI/LLM Fluency: Familiarity with AI-native product development, including agentic patterns and LLM-powered discovery experiences, to lead our highest-leverage bets in search
  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional ability to use data (including LTV/CAC and profitability assessments) to guide prioritization and quantify the impact of product features.
  • People Leadership: Experience operating through layers of leadership, delegating ownership effectively, and scaling decision-making across diverse product lines.
  • Consumer Empathy: A "consumer-first" mindset with a high bar for design polish and a commitment to delivering honest financial products
