  • Advisory & Support: Provide pragmatic legal and regulatory advice to internal stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Finance, Operations and Commercial teams) to accelerate the growth in India. Be a trusted partner to the Product and Tech teams to design, build and launch innovative payments/financial products in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Strategic Representation: Represent the regulatory team on cross-functional projects to frame regulatory strategy and align it with global organizational objectives.
  • Commercial Partnership: Advise on and negotiate various agreements with merchants, service providers, and external partners while ensuring compliant solutions align with commercial strategy.
  • Policy Analysis: Analyze and summarize regulatory policies, guidelines, bills, and acts (e.g., PA-CB, KYC Master Directions, DPDP Act 2023).
  • Apply expert regulatory expertise to provide exemplary advice on complex regulatory matters across multiple domains.
  • Shape Adyen’s regulatory and integrity frameworks, acting as a subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skillfully strike a balance between risk and commercial needs, acting as a multiplier by guiding other team members to achieve the same.
  • Understand the mindset and policies of regulators and auditors to make strategic regulatory decisions.
  • Masterfully adapt communication style and messaging (written and verbal) to different audiences, providing clear and concise updates and challenges.
  • Advocate Adyen’s position on complex matters to external stakeholders and effectively influence their views.
  • Provide mentorship to junior colleagues, applying a multiplier effect across the team.
  • Initiate and own complex, high-impact cross-functional projects, managing stakeholders and resources effectively while navigating roadblocks.
  • Identify opportunities to involve junior colleagues in projects to support their professional growth.
  • Assist with creating Global Function OKRs and develop dedicated program management for projects within the team.
  • Identify large-scale projects that drive organizational efficiencies globally with a 10x mentality.
  • Offer guidance in complex situations and clear roadblocks that hinder regional or global progress.
