ABOUT THE TEAM

The Lending Operations team is the backbone of OakNorth's lending business. We own the end-to-end operational lifecycle of loans — from booking through to in-life management — across Syndicated, Agency, and Bilateral facilities. We work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit, and Legal to make sure every loan is set up accurately, managed precisely, and documented correctly. We're a lean team with high individual accountability, and we take quality seriously.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in Gurgaon, this is an IC role within the Lending Operations team at ONGPL. You'll own the accurate booking and in-life management of loan facilities across our portfolio, working across Syndication, Agency, and Bilateral structures. Your work directly underpins the integrity of OakNorth's lending book and the experience our borrowers receive.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own accurate and timely loan booking across Syndicated, Agency, and Bilateral facilities, ensuring data integrity across systems from day one of each transaction.

• Manage in-life loan activities — including drawdowns, repayments, rollovers, and amendments — within agreed SLAs and with a low error rate.

• Review and interpret LMA and other legal loan documentation to ensure operational set-up reflects agreed terms, flagging discrepancies proactively.

• Manage queries and tasks by loan and customer type, acting as a reliable point of contact for internal stakeholders and resolving issues with speed and accuracy.

• Identify and escalate operational risks or process gaps, contributing to continuous improvement of lending operations workflows.

YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE…

• Hands-on experience in loan booking and in-life management across Syndication, Agency, or Bilateral loan structures.

• Working knowledge of LMA documentation and the ability to interpret legal loan agreements in an operational context.

• Strong numeracy and accounting awareness, with a track record of accuracy under tight deadlines.

• Experience managing operational queries and tasks across multiple loan types and customers simultaneously.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with loan management systems used in banking operations.

• Exposure to a regulated banking environment and an understanding of associated compliance obligations.
