## Description (the employer's text)

Loula is looking for experienced postpartum doulas in the Ontario area to join our network as paid, non-exclusive independent contractors.

Accept Medi-Cal and some commercial insurance plans without the paperwork. We handle credentialing, insurance verification, billing, and payment, and pay you twice a month even when a claim is denied. Postpartum doulas can earn about $2,048 per postpartum client they bring themselves and about $1,826 per client Loula refers, when they complete all of the visits the client's plan covers. Actual earnings vary by health plan and number of visits.

Who can apply? Experienced doulas in California who have supported at least 3 births as a doula OR have at least 5 years of doula experience. See the training and documentation requirements below. You do not need to be Medi-Cal approved to apply. We can help with credentialing.

### ✨ About Loula

With a network of over 500 experienced and diverse doulas, Loula is building the leading provider network for birth and postpartum doula care. We partner with Medi-Cal and some commercial health insurance plans to make it easier for doulas to accept health insurance without the administrative burden.

Loula offers full-service support for Medicaid enrollment, credentialing, insurance verification, medical billing, and payment to doulas in California. By taking on the operational complexity, Loula empowers doulas to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.

We believe every family deserves access to high-quality postpartum support, not just those who can afford to pay out of pocket. Our mission is to help doulas build thriving practices while making it possible for insured families to access the care they deserve.
