About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!
How We Operate
Be a barrel. Full autonomy. Own things end to end, take on scope without being asked, no permission required to operate outside your core role.
Insane urgency. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
Reason from first principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
Build something that actually matters. If you're going to spend your time, spend it on something that matters to the world.
The People Team
Examples of key problems the team is working on
Build the people function from scratch, fast enough to keep up with 10x growth. You'll build the systems, programs, and team from nothing, and make them work before we outgrow them.
Reinvent people operations around AI. Doing this by hand doesn't scale to a workforce growing this fast on a team this lean. You'll put AI at the core of how the function runs, so a small team supports many times its number.
Shape the culture and comms as the company scales. When a company scales this quickly, staying connected and aligned doesn't happen on its own. You'll help shape internal comms, events, and rhythm that keep a multi-site team that's growing fast bound to a shared culture.
Role Scope
Own Fluidstack's benefits program end to end, covering medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D, disability, EAP, FSA, HSA, HRA, commuter, voluntary benefits, and the 401(k) with Fidelity, and decide which new benefits (fertility, family-building, mental health) we add next.
Run annual renewal and open enrollment start to finish: model claims, cost trends, and contribution options with Finance, benchmark against AI and technology peers, bring recommendations to leadership well before enrollment, and audit every election across HRIS, payroll, and carrier systems afterward.
Keep every plan compliant as we expand into new states and entities, covering ERISA, ACA reporting (1094-C and 1095-C), COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Section 125, plan documents and required notices, state paid leave laws, and audit readiness.
Run benefits operations in our HRIS and carrier feeds so eligibility, deductions, and life events stay accurate every pay cycle, and hold brokers, carriers, and TPAs to their service levels through renewals, RFPs, and implementations.
Administer leave and accommodations (FMLA, state paid leave, disability, parental, and military leave) with carriers, Payroll, HR Business Partners, and Legal, and serve as the go-to expert when an employee's benefits question is complex, urgent, or personal.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
You've owned a US benefits program end to end, from broker and carrier renewal through open enrollment and the post-enrollment audit of every election.
You've personally handled benefits compliance (ERISA, ACA reporting and affordability testing, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Section 125) and you know exactly where your knowledge ends and benefits counsel begins.
