## Description (the employer's text)

### About the Team

Droyd builds autonomous robotic systems that automate repetitive manual work in real environments. We design and manufacture our hardware in-house, which means iteration, fabrication, and execution all happen under one roof.

Because these systems operate around people and in enterprise settings, compliance and certification matter early. We need someone to own the process of turning technical work into certifiable, documented systems.

### About the Role

As a Safety & Compliance Engineer at Droyd, you will drive certification and standards work across the company. You will coordinate engineering, documentation, and process requirements to help ensure our systems meet relevant ISO and customer compliance expectations.

You will work across hardware, software, and operations to track requirements, identify gaps, and keep certification efforts moving.

This role is based on-site in San Francisco, CA.

### In This Role, You’ll

Certification & Standards

Own compliance and certification workflows across the company

Drive progress toward relevant ISO standards and related requirements

Identify gaps between current systems and certification expectations

Documentation & Process

Track documentation, testing, and process requirements needed for certification

Help establish repeatable processes for audits, documentation, and ongoing adherence

Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate with engineering teams to incorporate safety and compliance requirements into product development

Act as the internal point person for customer and partner compliance questions

Work Environment & Schedule

On-site in San Francisco, CA

Full-time

### We’re Looking For Candidates Who

Have experience with ISO standards, certification, or regulated technical systems

Can manage complex cross-functional processes with many moving parts

Are highly organized and strong in documentation

Can work closely with engineering teams to translate standards into practical requirements

Are comfortable owning a process end-to-end in a fast-moving startup environment

### Nice to Have

Experience with robotics, industrial systems, or safety-critical hardware

Experience supporting enterprise customer compliance requirements

Familiarity with audit preparation and certification programs

### About Droyd

Droyd builds autonomous robotic systems that operate in real production environments. We design the hardware, develop the control stack, and generate the data that enables generalist robotics.

If we do this right, robots stop being demos and start being infrastructure.

Join us and help build the systems that make it real.
