This role is embedded within a product engineering team and focuses on scalable automation, high-quality releases, and stronger testing practices across the SDLC.
The ideal candidate has strong technical automation experience and prior exposure to post-trade processing, reconciliation, and margin products in a broker-dealer or clearing environment.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, Cucumber (BDD), and RestAssured
Build and execute automated tests across API, event/messaging (Kafka, queue-based integrations), and data layers, with UI coverage where applicable
Validate end-to-end post-trade workflows, including trade settlement, positions and cash, corporate actions, options lifecycle (exercise, assignment, expiration), margin, asset transfers (ACATS), and cost basis/tax lots
Design and automate reconciliation tests between DriveWealth systems and clearing/custodian platforms, validating positions, balances, and transactions
Validate downstream outputs such as trade confirmations, statements, and regulatory reports (e.g., CAT/FINRA)
Create test plans, scenarios, and regression suites for financial systems, including migration and parallel-run validation
Build and maintain CI/CD test pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Performance Testing experience
Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and improve test coverage
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Compliance teams on testing strategy and quality improvements
Participate in test reviews, bug triage, and production issue analysis
You Bring
8+ years of QA experience in financial services, with direct exposure to post-trade, clearing, or back-office platforms
Strong hands-on programming in Java

Experience testing REST APIs and event-driven systems (Kafka; RabbitMQ or SQS a plus)
Strong SQL (Postgres) skills for data validation and reconciliation
Working knowledge of post-trade concepts: settlement cycles, corporate actions, margin, options lifecycle, and books-and-records requirements
Experience with AWS, Git, and Jenkins
Familiarity with JIRA and test management tools (Allure TestOps)
Special Knowledge (Nice to Have, But Not Required)
Playwright and TypeScript for UI automation
Experience with a clearing system conversion or platform migration
Exposure to FIX protocol, crypto asset workflows, or data tools such as Databricks
