We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions

About the role

We're looking for a Software Engineer with a generalist's range and a real interest in frontend engineering. You will join a platform team that makes it faster, safer, and more consistent for everyone at the company to build software. That covers the interfaces people use, the shared tooling behind them, and the workflows that carry an idea through to shipped, validated code.

You'll work on a mix of problems across the stack. You'll take on well-scoped projects with growing independence, learn from experienced engineers, and ship work that other teams use every day. We want someone who is curious and eager to grow, and who cares about quality.

We're building in an AI-native world. You should be comfortable working with agents while still caring about code quality. We see agents as a chance to help the whole company build better, safer code.

At Applied Intuition, you will

Contribute to internal platforms and tooling that help people and agents move from a task or idea to fully validated, production-ready code. These platforms serve both internal and external users, and over time will serve roles across the product development lifecycle.

Build and improve frontend components, shared libraries, and design system tooling used across many products.

Help make design system usage more accurate and efficient for engineers and AI agents, through better tooling, documentation, and guidance.

Build automation that keeps design assets and production code in sync, and reduces manual handoff between design and engineering.

Help modernize and decouple legacy applications and shared infrastructure, so teams can develop and ship faster.

Partner with product engineers and designers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and turn it into reusable solutions.

Write clear design documents and contribute to technical decisions with your team.

Uphold strong engineering practices, including testing, code review, accessibility, performance, and documentation.

We're looking for someone who has

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

3 + years of experience

Experience building web applications with TypeScript and a component-based framework such as React, and a genuine interest in deepening your frontend expertise.

Solid software engineering fundamentals, including testing, version control, code review, and CI/CD.

Ability to take well-scoped problems from design through delivery, and to seek out guidance when you need it.

Strong collaboration and communication skills, and comfort working with cross-functional users and teams.

Curiosity about, and hands-on use of, AI coding tools and agent-based workflows.

Nice to have
