About Airwallex

Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system for a real-time, intelligent economy. More than 675,000 businesses, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok, use us, directly or through our platform partners, to run their financial operations or build and monetize financial products of their own.

We started in Melbourne in 2015 to build the infrastructure global commerce runs on. We're the regulated backbone behind global payments: not by accident, but by design. A decade plus, 85+ licenses, and a financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

We're co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with more than 2,700 people across 27 offices. We hire builders with founder-level energy, people who move fast with good judgment, dig in with real curiosity, and make calls from first principles rather than waiting to be told what to do. Channel RFI & Transaction Monitoring Senior Analyst

How you'll make impact

As a Channel RFI Senior Analyst, you’ll manage Airwallex’s first-line response to external enquiries from correspondent and partner banks, law enforcement agencies, regulators, and other competent authorities. You’ll review cross-border payment activity, interpret SWIFT messages and payment flows, and produce clear, well-supported responses that meet regulatory, contractual, and internal policy expectations. Working across Financial Crime Compliance, Transaction Monitoring, KYC, Financial Partnerships, Legal, Sanctions Compliance, and regional Operations, you’ll help protect Airwallex from financial crime risk while keeping high-priority cases moving with accuracy and urgency.

Own the external RFI mailbox and workflow, ensuring enquiries are triaged, tracked, documented, and closed within agreed SLAs.

Respond to correspondent bank RFIs covering cross-border wires and virtual account flows by reviewing end-to-end payment journeys and coordinating inputs from relevant teams.

Handle law enforcement enquiries from police, regulators, tax and customs authorities, and other competent agencies, escalating sensitive or complex matters to FIU, Legal, or the MLRO when appropriate.

Perform targeted account and transaction reviews, assess payment patterns and counterparties against customer KYC profiles, and recommend risk-based actions such as freezes, offboarding, or enhanced monitoring.

Draft concise, accurate, and audit-ready responses and case files that clearly document evidence, rationale, decisions, and approvals.

Partner with Financial Crime Compliance, Transaction Monitoring, KYC, Financial Partnerships, Legal, Sanctions Compliance, and regional Operations to align positions on complex cases and implement remediation or control improvements.

Improve the Channel RFI process through playbooks, templates, training materials, and dashboards that raise efficiency, response quality, and SLA performance.

You’ll work on site in Malaysia.
